NovoCare Pharmacy is Novo Nordisk's direct-to-patient channel for cash payers, launched in March 2025 with all Wegovy doses at $499 a month and home delivery. Eighteen months later the headline is $199, the ongoing price is $349, and there is a prepaid subscription underneath. Here is how the pieces fit on September 4, 2026.

A month is one box of four pens or one bottle of 30 tablets. Prescription required; no insurance needed; delivery is free through NovoCare's fulfilment pharmacy. The same prices are offered at retail pharmacies, through GoodRx, and by telehealth partners named in the November 17, 2025 release (Costco, WeightWatchers, Ro, LifeMD, eMed among them), and on TrumpRx.gov.
The introductory offer, precisely
$199 applies to each of the first two monthly fills at the 0.25 mg or 0.5 mg strength for patients new to the savings offer or NovoCare Pharmacy. Two features matter for your budget. It is two fills, not two months of calendar time. And it is tied to the starting strengths, so a person who titrates on the label schedule (four weeks at 0.25 mg, four at 0.5 mg) uses both introductory fills at exactly those steps and pays $349 from the first 1 mg fill onward. The offer was announced November 17, 2025 with an original end date of March 31, 2026 and has been extended to December 31, 2026 per the NovoCare and TrumpRx pages.
The subscription
On March 31, 2026 Novo Nordisk launched prepaid multi-month terms for Wegovy through partner telehealth platforms:
| Product | 3 months | 6 months | 12 months |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wegovy pen, 0.25 to 2.4 mg | $329 per month | $299 per month | $249 per month |
| Wegovy pill, 9 mg and 25 mg | $289 per month | $269 per month | $249 per month |
The saving against $349 is $240, $600 or $1,200 a year for the pen. The whole term is prepaid to the platform (Ro, WeightWatchers and LifeMD at launch), and the platform sets the fine print, including any membership fee of its own. A telehealth membership of $50 to $150 a month on top of a $249 subscription can put the all-in figure back above $349; the calculator has a field for it.

Reading a NovoCare quote
A box of four pens is 28 days, so $349 per box is 13.04 boxes a year, $4,549, or $379 per calendar month. A 30-tablet bottle is a real month: $299 per bottle is $303 per calendar month. When comparing a pen at $349 with a pill at $299, the pill's advantage is about $76 a month, not $50, once the fill length is counted. The Wegovy and Ozempic price pages have the full cards; the savings-card page covers the commercial-insurance route, which is separate from NovoCare self-pay.
Questions people ask
Can I get the $199 price if I am already on Wegovy?
The $199 price is for patients new to the Wegovy savings offer or NovoCare Pharmacy, for the first two monthly fills at 0.25 mg or 0.5 mg, through December 31, 2026. An existing self-pay patient pays $349 per month at 0.25 to 2.4 mg.
Is the subscription cheaper than paying monthly?
Per month, yes: $249 on a 12-month term against $349 month to month for the pen, a difference of $1,200 a year. The trade is a full prepayment to a partner platform, and the terms (refunds if you stop, dose changes, cancellation) are set by that platform, not by Novo Nordisk.
